David Lynch thanks Sitges for his great honorary award from his home

In the same home workshop where he offers his particular part of his time, where we saw him work on the documentary 'David Lynch: The art life', David Lynch has unpacked the Honorary Grand Prize of the Sitges Festival in front of the camera, which rewards the film director, photographer, musician, painter or, yes, meteorologist for half a century of tireless and enduring activity.

Here, the full thank you video.

Sitges 2020: David Lynch reps the Grand Honorary Prize

The video, just over a minute long, was the absolute highlight of the closing gala of the 53rd edition of the festival. An apparently excited Lynch wishes us good night, informs us that he is about to make that 'dream unboxing and he starts to get excited as he removes the bubble wrap: “It looks like a beauty.” Once he has the golden Kong in his hands, he adds: «Thank you, Sitges Festival, for this wonderful awardAnd thanks to Angel Sala and to all who have made this award possible."

The closing gala included the screening of 'The Elephant Man', whose premiere has been going on for 40 years, in a brand new 4K restoration.

Once again, Innou has been in charge of manufacturing this already iconic trophy developed for the 50th anniversary edition and this is the 4th edition of this event, considered the most important in the world in this genre.

We take this opportunity to thank you for the trust placed in our studio for the the creation of this Trophy adapted to special materials and finishes for a special edition, which has resisted the Pandemic representing a group, the cultural sector, which deserves all our support, that of the entire audience and the administrations.
